SSL VIRTUAL HOST

 SSL protocol used in Xitami/Pro doesn’t work with DNS based virtual hosts therefore for using SSL virtual hosts you should have a unique IP address for each host.

Whenever a virtual host is set up you would want to use a specific directory for the web pages, password file, CGI scripts and log files. Options such as security, HTTP error messages and timeouts could be configured. 

Virtual host configuration files will have to exist while the server starts up. The virtual host configurations can be modified on the fly very much as the normal configuration files but in case you are looking forward to add or remove a virtual host you will be required to stop and restart the server. It can become a lot confusing as virtual hosting implies dealing with lot of config files.
